London and New York, March 17 2025: Ideals, a leading virtual data room (VDR) provider, has appointed Jens Hohnwald as Director of Business Development, EMEA as part of a broader investment in talent and technology to support increasing demand in European dealmaking.

Jens brings over 20 years of experience in business development, sales, commercial strategy, and marketing within financial services and insurance. He joins Ideals from Foyer Global Health where he served as Chief Commercial Officer, leading commercial strategy, marketing and client engagement. He has also held roles in organizations such as Alteos, Funding Circle Deutschland, and SEB.

Based out of Trier, Jens will be responsible for accelerating the company’s growth in Germany by expanding its sales operation, business development strategy and product offerings to new clients and industries. He will report to Daniel Black, Vice President of Sales for EMEA and LATAM, and will be involved with the recruitment and expansion of the business development and sales team in Germany and across Europe. 

Alongside its regional expansion, Ideals continues to focus on ongoing enhancements to its platform to ensure a market-leading offering that improves the speed, security and efficiency of deal execution. Recently introduced features include AI-driven redaction, version tracking, document translation, and advanced search, enabling dealmakers to streamline workflows and improve decision-making. 

These innovations address the growing complexity of M&A transactions, where due diligence timelines are lengthening, regulatory requirements are increasing, and deal teams require faster insights to stay competitive.
